Our Pastor
Rev. Rogelio Faragoza faithfully served as Pastor of Emmanuel Christian Church in Kingsville, Texas, for 33 years. His ministry began in 1991, after surrendering his life to Christ in 1984 while working offshore. Throughout his pastoral tenure, he was known for his humble, reliable, and dedicated servant leadership. In addition to pastoring, he contributed to the broader church community by serving on the Executive and Board of Trustees for UPLCII, encouraging spiritual growth among his co-laborers and his congregation.
His Vision
Pastor Faragoza held a deep love for Kingsville and a compelling vision for its spiritual renewal. He believed in the power of the gospel to transform lives and was passionate about fulfilling the Great Commission. His ministry extended beyond church walls, reflecting his heart for the community. As a nurse specializing in hospice care, he brought comfort and peace to those in their most vulnerable moments, embodying the compassion of Christ in both spiritual and physical care. He has a great vision for unity across the church body in our great city and we are seeing this unfold before our eyes.
His Legacy
Pastor Faragoza’s legacy is one of enduring faith, unwavering love, and steadfast commitment to family. He cherished the spiritual foundation laid by his parents, Agustin and Elena Faragoza, and fervently prayed for the salvation of his extended family. His greatest joy came from his wife of 42 years, Evangelina, and their children and grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and love. His life’s impact lives on through his family, church, and all who were blessed by his kindness, leadership, and faith-filled example.
We will always remember.
Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on. We will remember his kind smile, wise counsel, and passionate preaching. We will cherish his deep love for his family and his prayers for their future. His memory will forever inspire us to serve faithfully, love deeply, and believe boldly. Thank you, Pastor Roy, for a life well lived in service to God and others. We will always remember.
